        The 
          memorial sits in the grounds of the Baptist Chapel on the main road 
          through Cotton End and takes the form of a squat, granite, column with 
          a coping stone ion the top and inscriptions around the sides; the memorial 
          sites at the top of the driveway to the church in an area surrounded 
          by a low chain link fence. There are seventeen entries for World War 
          1 and one for World War 2.
