        This 
          memorial is in the restored chapel of All Saints Church, Church Road, 
          Shillington. It takes the form of a copper sheet painted black with 
          raised lettering in a copper finish mounted on an oak memorial baord. 
          On the top of the sheet is a Crown surmounted by a cross with a palm 
          leaf extended on each side. There are 24 names listed for World War 
          1 by surname then forename.

              aged 12, at school, born Shillington. No known grave. Commemorated

              Sarah A. Denton of Albert Street, Lidcombe, New South Wales, Australia. 
              Served in the South African Campaign. Awarded the MIlitary Medal 
              (M.M.). In the 1891 census he is the son of James & Elizabeth 
              Denton, of Green End, Shillington, aged 9, Scholar, born Shillington. 
              His birth was registered in the January to March Quarter 1882 in 
              the Ampthill Registration District. No known grave. Commemorated

              Battle of Jutland causing her magazines to explode shortly afterwards, 
              sinking the ship. Aged 24. Born 22 May 1892 in Holloway, London.
