Upper Dean, co. Bedford 26-5-1888, joined the 117th Battery R.F.A. as a gunner 
in 1907; obtained a first class certificate in 1909, passing through the school 
of gunnery at Shoeburyness the same year. Served with the Expeditionary Force 
in France and Flanders from 16-8-1914. Was gazetted 2nd Lieut, 25th Brigade R.F.A. 
1st Oct and died in No. 5 Field Hospital 2nd Nov following from wounds received
