The Memorial is off the A480, above the Heads of the Valley A465; the road is not numbered but in the Breconshire National Park, a Memorial Hall, Vaynor Road, Pontsticill, Merthyr Tydfil, Mid Glamorgan. It takes the form of a Stone Tablet (possibly Marble) with a dedicatory inscritpion and names listed in two columns. A stone frame encloses the tablet which is placed on an outside wall of the Hall. The names here have been sorted into alphabetical order. There are nine names for World War 1 and two for World War 2.

BUDGE	Harold	Private 63665, 17th Battalion, Welsh Regiment attached to Drake Battalion, Royal Naval Divisionj, Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve. Died of wounds Monday 27th May 1918 in France & Flanders. Aged 19. Born Dover, enlisted Merthyr. Son of Joseph and Sarah Jane Budge, of Mission Hut, Pontsticill, Merthyr Tydvil. Born at Dover, Kent. Buried in DOULLENS COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION NO. 2, Somme, France. Plot I. Row C. Grave 16.
EVANS	Gwilym [Thomas]	Private 29189, 6th Battalion, South Wales Borders. Killed in action Saturday 23rd March 1918 in France & Flanders. Aged 20. Born Pontsticill, enlisted Cefn Coed, Monmouthshire. Son of William Thomas and Sarah A. Evans, of The Butcher's Arms, Pontsticill, Merthyr Tydfil, Glam. No known grave. Commemorated onCommemorated at ARRAS MEMORIAL, Pas de Calais, France. Bay 6.
EVANS	Thomas Russell	Private 3263, 1st Battalion, Welsh Guards. Killed in action Monday 3rd September 1917 in France & Flanders. Born and enlisted Merthyr. Buried in CANADA FARM CEMETERY, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Plot II. Row H. Grave 13.
HORRELL	David [James]	Private 245059, 2nd/5th Battalion (Territorial Force), Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Died of wounds Monday 11th March 1918 in France & Flanders. Aged 20. Born Merhtyr, enlisted Brecon. Son of George and Mary Horrell, of Reservoir House, Dolygaer, Merthyr Tydvil. Buried at MERVILLE COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION, Nord, France. Plot I. Row C. Grave 24.
HOWGARTH	Richard [James]	[Listed as Richard James HOGARTH on CWGC and SDGW], Private 13930, 5th Battalion, South Wales Borderers. Killed in action Wednesday 10th April 1918 in France & Flanders. Aged 25. Born Blackpool, enlisted Cefn, resident Northwich, Cheshire.No known grave. Commemorated on TYNE COT MEMORIAL, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Panel 65 to 66.
JENKINS	William David	Private 1391 (Signaller), 5th Battalion, South Wales Borders. Killed in action Monday 24th July 1916 in France & Flanders. Aged 21. Born Vaynor, enlisted Cefn, resident Pontsticill. Son of Hannah Lloyd (formerly Jenkins), of 1, Croft Cottages, Pontsticill, Merthyr Tydfil, Glam, and the late William Jenkins. No known grave. Commemorated on THIEPVAL MEMORIAL, Somme, France. Pier and Face 4 A.
JONES	B	Pte Warwicks probably Brinley JONES, Private 33345, 1st/5th (Territorial) Battalion, Royal Warwickshire Regiment. Killed in action Saturday 15th June 1918 in France & Flanders. Born Aberthaw, enlisted Cardiff, resident Barry. Son of Thomas and Sarah Jones, of Barry. Buried in Buried at MAGNABOSCHI BRITISH CEMETERY, Italy. Plot 2. Row C. Grave 8.
WOODYATT	Albert	Private 3274, 1st Battalion, Welsh Guards. Died of wounds Monday 24th December 1917 at home. Aged 19. Born Pontsticill, enlisted Merthyr. Son of Edward and Annie Woodyatt, of 1, Bryn Terrace, Pontsticil, Merthyr Tydvil. Buried in VAYNOR (ST. GWENDOLINE) CHURCHYARD, Brecknockshire. Plot/Row/Section/Area 7. Grave 20.
WOODYATT	Charles	[Acting] Sergeant 487, 2nd/1st Brecknock Battalion, South Wales Borders. Died Monday 21st June 1915 at home. Aged 28. Born Vaynor, enlisted Cefn, resident Pontsticill. Husband of Hannah Mary Woodyatt, of Mountain House, Pontsticil, Merthyr Tydvil. Buried in VAYNOR (ST. GWENDOLINE) CHURCHYARD, Brecknockshire. Plot/Row/Section/Area 7. Grave 19.

THOMAS	Cyril John	Serjeant 1871702, 543 Electrical and Mechanical Company, Royal Engineers. Died Friday 28th July 1944. Aged 30. Son of John and Mary Ellen Thomas, of Pontsticill, Brecknockshire; husband of Gwladys Megan Thomas, of Pontsticill. Buried in Buried at CASERTA WAR CEMETERY, Italy. Plot I. Row C. Grave 2.
