1914 – 1918
DEAN	George Frederick	Private 40188, 4th Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment. Died Friday, 12th January 1917. Aged 30. Born Weston Colville, resident Bartlow, enlisted Bury St Edmunds. Son of David and Louisa Dean, of Weston Colville, Cambs; husband of A. E. Dean, of Church St., Ickleton, Great Chesterford, Essex. Formerly 28249, Essex Regiment. Buried in ABBEVILLE COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION, Somme, France. Plot II. Row B. Grave 15.
DOCKRILL	Walter	Private 20886, 7^th Battalion, Suffolk Regiment. Died of wounds Tuesday, 22nd August 1916. Aged 20. Born and enlisted Haverill, Suffolk. (Born at Little Wratting, Suffolk). Son of Alfred and Mary Dockrill, of Westoe Farm, Bartlow, Cambs. Buried in CHICHESTER CEMETERY, Sussex. Grave 126. 40.
WHISTLER	Bertram Charles	Second Lieutenant, 4th Battalion, North Staffordshire Regiment. Killed in action on Sunday, 29th September 1918. Age 32. Husband of P. Whistler, of Dears Cottages, Risby, Bury St. Edmund's. Buried in ZANDVOORDE BRITISH CEMETERY, Zonnebeke, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Plot I. Row E. Grave 14.
SMITH	William Cooper	[Listed as William Thomas SMITH in records]
1939 – 1945
POTTER	Richard Philip Warren	Captain 143761, 5 Field Regiment, Royal Artillery. Died 6th February 1944. Aged 38. Son of Thomas Clifford Potter, and of Edith Muriel Potter, of Bartlow, Cambridgeshire; husband of Lois Mary Potter. Cremated. Commemorated in CAMBRIDGE CREMATORIUM, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom. Column 2. Also family memorial inside the church at Bartlow.
WESTERN, DSO and bar	Bertram Charles Maxamillian	Lieutenant Colonel 59937, East Lancashire Regiment. Died 21st April 1942. Aged 55. Son of William and Mary Western; husband of Dorothy Western, of Hale, Hampshire. Buried in ADDIS ABABA WAR CEMETERY, Ethiopia. Plot 2. Row A. Grave 12.

CARTER	Edward Maurice	Captain, 11th King Edward's Own Lancers (Probyn's Horse), Indian Army, who was killed in action at Afar in Mesopotamia 11th August 1920. Aged 24. Son of the Rev. George Charles Carter, of The Rectory, Bartlow, Cambs. Buried in BAGHDAD (NORTH GATE) WAR CEMETERY, Iraq. Plot XVIII. Row L. Grave 8.
