This article was published after the First World War as an advertisment by Matthew & Son, Limited of Cambridge. In Kelly's Directory 1929 Matthew and Son were described as 'Matthew & Son Limited, grocers, provision & wine & spirit merchants, fruiterers, greengrocers & florists; hardware, china, glass & ironmongery, 19, 20 & 21 Trinity street. Telegrams, “Matthew, Cambridge;” Telephone No. 15 (2 lines).' The quote below the Roll of Honour states:

AFTER VICTORY

The Directors of Matthews & Son Ltd, desire to thank their Custromers for the consideration and indulgence extended to them through the strenuous days of the war. Although they have endeavoured with theor depleted staff to give satisfaction, under the diffuclt conditions, to all orders received. M. & S. hope with the advent PEACE and the return in the near future of some of their old experienced employees to give their patrons the attention of pre-war days.

[Rundolph on SDGW] Private 326219, 2nd Battalion, Suffolk Regiment. Killed in action 23rd August 1918. Aged 24. Enlisted Cambridge. Only son of William and Alice Lister, of 33, Alexandra Park Rd., Muswell Hill, London. Formerly 3405, 1st/1st Battalion, Cambridgeshire Regiment. Awarded the Military Medal (M.M.).
