Command. Killed while flying out of Marham, Norfolk, in a Vickers
Wellington IA, serial number N2987, when the aircraft crashed near
Wyton, Hunts due to severe turbulence during a ferry flight from
Marham to the Vickers factory at Weybridge, two crew members survived,
19 March 1940. Aged 28. Native of Chelsea, London. Born 25 May 1911
in Godalming, Surrey, baptised 2 July 1911 in Godalming, SS Peter
& Paul, resident The Vicarage, Godalming. Son of the Revd. Canon
Gerald Charles Fanshawe and Morforwyn Mary Levison Fanshawe, of
Chelsea, London. Educated at Eton. Admitted as Pensioner at Trinity
1 October 1929; B.A. 1933. Buried in WINCHESTER (MAGDALEN HILL)

Light Infantry. Killed in action in Western Europe 19 June 1944.
Aged 27. Born 6 November 1917 in Sheffield, West Riding, Yorkshire,
resident Cornwall. Son of Richard Vernon Favell and Alice Molyneux
Favell, of Penberth, Cornwall. Educated at Winchester College. Admitted
as Pensioner at Trinity 1 October 1936; B.A. 1939. In the 1921 census
he was the nephew of Edith Winifred Favell, aged 3, born Sheffield,
Yorkshire, resident Forestone, St Buryan, Cornwall. Buried in RANVILLE

| FISHER | Basil Mark | Flying Officer (Pilot) 72382, 111 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. Killed in action flying out of Croydon, Surrey, in a Hawker Hurricane I, serial number P3944, when the aircraft was shot down in combat with Ju88s off Selsey Bill and crashed at Sidlesham, Sussex, during a patrol, although he baled out he sadly died, 15 August 1940. Born 8 October 1916 in Kensington, London. Son of Captain George Kenneth Thompson and Janet Fisher. Educated at Eton. Admitted as Pensioner at Trinity 1 October 1935; B.A. 1938. In the 1921 census he was the son of Janet D M Fisher, aged 4, born South Kensington, London, resident 23, Launceston Place, Kensington, London & Middlesex. In the 1939 Register he was born 8 October 1916, a Civil Servant, single, resident Ascot Queen Hill, Bray, Windsor R.D., Berkshire. Buried in ETON (ST. JOHN) CHURCH CEMETERY, Buckinghamshire.
