WAR
Note: The above is taken from the Commonwealth War Graves Commission web site from the return sent back by the family. Subsequent information received from his niece, Anne McEwan states that his name was William Eric Victor DAYNES, born 6th September 1909. Gunner Daynes died UNMARRIED and Mollie Daynes who is listed as the deceased widow is not recorded in any of the family records. Mr. Daynes' place of residence was with his parent Charles and Bertha Daynes prior to his death in Landbeach, Cambridgeshire. |
