At the junction of High Street and Clay Street, Soham, Cambridgeshire there is also a memorial within the church. The main memorial takes the form of a Serviceman, in mourning pose, with rifle reversed surmounting a large, stepped stone plinth. The names are in columns on each side of plinth. The whole stands on a two-stepped base. There are 134 names for World War 1 (128 names originally but prior to the centenary six further names were added) and 42 for World War 2, the names of two women who died in World War 2 are placed first.
