The memorial is to be found in the churchyard of St Mary's Church and takes the form of a two stepped, square base with tapered plinth, shaft and Lation cross on top; the inscription on the sides of the plinth. There are 14 names listed for World War 1 and 4 for World War 2.

Harold Edward
Private 320537, 15th (Suffolk Yeomanry) Battalion, Suffolk Regiment. Died of wounds 12 November 1917. Aged 21. Born West Wickham (SDGW), enlisted Linton. Formerly 14111, Suffolk Regiment. Entered France 25 July 1915. In the 1911 census he is the grandson of William Beavis, aged 14, labourer on farm, born London, resident West Wickham. His birth was registered in the Pancars Registration District, London in the October to December Quarter 1896. Buried in CAIRO WAR MEMORIAL CEMETERY, Egypt. Section F. Grave 334.

Private 30391, 9th Battalion, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Died of wounds 6 June 1918. Born Widdington, Essex, enlisted Haverhill, Suffolk, resident West Wickham. Son of B. Bentley, of Lolworth, Cambridge, and the late Alfred Bentley. Formerly 17206, Suffolk Regiment. In the 1911 census he was the son of Alfred and Betsy Bentley, aged 24, a Shepherd on Farm, born Debden, Essex, resident Streetly End, West Wickham. Buried in LA CHEPPE (MONT-FRENET) FRENCH NATIONAL CEMETERY, Marne, France. Grave 635.

Private 15471, 11th Battalion, Suffolk Regiment. Died of wounds 30 July 1916. Aged 21. Born West Wickham, enlisted Linton. Son of the late Charles and Mary Bradnam. In the 1911 census he was the son of Charles and Mary Bradnam, aged 16, a Farm Labourer, born and resident West Wiickham; brother of Bennett (below). Buried South of the Chancel in WEST WICKHAM (ST. MARY) CHURCHYARD, Cambridgeshire.

In the 1911 census he was the son of Charles and Mary Bradnam, aged 21, a Farm Labourer, born and resident West Wiickham; brother of Albert (above). In the 1911 census he was the son of John and Kate Brown, aged 19, a Farm Labourer, born Barking, Essex, resident West Wickham. Buried in DRANOUTER CHURCHYARD, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Plot II. Rifleman 747, 1st Battalion, Rifle Brigade (The Prince Consort's Own). Killed in action 26 August 1914. Born West Wickham, enlisted Haverhill, Suffolk, resident Cherryhinton, Cambs. No known grave. Commemorated on LA FERTE-SOUS-JOUARRE MEMORIAL, Seine-et-Marne, France.

George Flack was born in West Wickham (Linton Q2-1888 3B:525) son of Elijah and Elizabeth FLACK (née PRESTON). In the 1891 census he was aged 3, residing The Street, West Wickham with his father Elijah FLACK [39] farm labourer; his mother Elizabeth [37]; brothers Frederick [18], Sidney [14] and Reuben [12] (all farm labourers), Christopher [10], Shadrack [8] and Albert [5 months]; sister Bessie [4]. All were born in West Wickham. In the 1901 census he was aged 12, living at Streetly End, West Wickham with his parents; brothers Shadrack (farm labourer), Albert, Alexander [8], Walter [4] and Frank [3] (all born West Wickham); sister Elizabeth (Bessie). In the 1911 census he is the son of Henry and Alice Flack, aged 18, Carter for Builder, born Cambridge, resident 54 Cowper Road, Cherryhinton Road, Cambridge. In 1913 he married Emily FLACK (Linton Q2-1913 3B:943). Born in Duxford in 1889, daughter of John and Sarah FLACK. She is named as his sole legatee in "Soldiers Effects". Their son Arthur was born in 1914.

Rifleman 373750, 8th (City of London) Battalion (Post Office Rifles), London Regiment. Died of wounds 2 December 1917. Aged 38. Born West Wickham, enlisted Stratford, resident West Ham. In the 1911 census he is aged 31, married for 2 years to Elizabeth, a Tramway Conductor, born West Wickham, resident 59 Evesham Road, Stratford E, London. Buried in ROCQUIGNY-EQUANCOURT ROAD BRITISH CEMETERY, MANANCOURT, Somme, France. Plot VI. Row E. Grave 6.

Private 629140, 2nd Battalion, Canadian Machine Gun Corps. Died 27 September 1916. Born Mudlarnick, Cornwall 10 October 1887. Married to F M Maddever of Highfield, Hykeham, Lincolnshire. Clerk by trade. Enlisted 1 September 1915 and passed fit 2 September 1915 at Vernon, British Columbia, Canada, aged 27 years 11 months. height 5 feet 8 inches, girth 36 inches. complexion medium, eyes blue, hair light brown; religion Church of England. In the 1901 census he was aged 12, son of John and Elizabeth Maddever, born Cornwall, resident Yen Hall, Strully End, West Wickham. Buried in CONTAY BRITISH CEMETERY, CONTAY, Somme, France. Plot II. Buried East of the church in WEST WICKHAM (ST. MARY) CHURCHYARD, Cambridgeshire.

In the 1911 census William PAGE was the son of George and Emma Page, aged 27, a Stockman on Farm, born and resident West Wickham. William George PAGE's birth was registered in the Linton Registration District in the January to March Quarter 1884. No further information currently available.
