Situated in the Churchyard. Inscriptions on three sides of the base of the Cross. The World War 1 names have surname, intial, rank and Regiment and World War 2 surname, intitials and service.

1914-1918

ENDSOR	George	Private 1752, Derbyshire Yeomanry. Killed in action 12th September 1915 at Gallipoli. Born and resident Breadsall, enlisted Derby. Son of Mr, George Endsor, of Ivy Cottage, Breadsall. Previously employed at Messrs. Haslam's Foundry. No known grave. No known grave. Commemorated on HELLES MEMORIAl, Turkey. Panel 17.
HASLAM	William Kenneth Seale	Captain, 4th (North Midland) Brigade, Royal Field Artillery (Territorial). Killed in action 27th April 1917. Aged 24. Son of Sir Alfred Seale Haslam, Kt. and Lady Haslam, of Breadsall Priory, near Derby. Buried in TILLOY BRITISH CEMETERY, TILLOY-LES-MOFFLAINES, Pas de Calais, France. Plot I. Row C. Grave 16.
HOFTON	W	Private, Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment probably Walter HOUGHTON, Private 2051, 1st/6th Battalion, Sherwood Foresters (Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment). Killed in action 7th June 1915. Born Honaston, enlisted Matlock, resident Darley Dale. Buried in KEMMEL CHATEAU MILITARY CEMETERY, Heuvelland, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Row D. Grave 28.
HOPKINS	T H	Private, Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment probably Henry HOPKINS, Private 47860, 2nd/7th Battalion, Sherwood Foresters (Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment). Killed in action 26th September 1917. Born Breadsall, enlisted Derby. Buried in WIELTJE FARM CEMETERY, Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Row A Grave 21.
HOWITT	Robert Plunkett	[Spelt HOWETT and SDGW, Listed as Private on memorial] Sergeant 1929, 1st/5th Battalion, Sherwood Foresters (Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment). Killed in action 14th October 1915. Aged 32. Born Camberwell, Surrey, enlisted Aylesbury, buckinghamshire, resident Breadsall. Son of John and Alice Howett, of Queen's Rd., Peckham, London; husband of Esther Margaret Vernon (formerly Howett, nee Taylor), of Brookfields, Breadsall, Derby. No known grave. Commemorated on LOOS MEMORIAl, Pas de Calais, France. Panel 87 to 89.
LANGFORD	William Henry	Private G/2299, 1st Battalion, Duke of Cambridge's Own (Middlesex Regiment). Died of wounds 20th November 1916. Aged 28. Born Holloway, Middlesex, enlisted London, resident Streatham, Surrey. Son of Albert F. and Blanche S. Langford, of Derby; husband of Mabel Langford (nee Taylor), of 37, Stepping Lane, Derby. Enlisted Public Schools Regiment in May, 1915. Buried in ETAPLES MILITARY CEMETERY, Pas de Calais, France. Plot XX. Row C. Grave 9A.
LEEDHAM	William	Priate 16681, 1st Battalion, South Staffordshire Regiment. Killed in action 25th September 1915. Aged 19. Born and resident West Browich, enlisted Wolverhampton. Son of Thomas William Leedham, of 45, Thomas St., West Bromwich. No known grave. Commemorated on LOOS MEMORIAL, Pas de Calais, France. Panel 73 to 76. [Although the details do not make this man appear to be correct he is the only person who fits all the details on the memorial.]
LOWE	Percy	Private 57437, 1st/5th (Territorial Force), Lancashire Fusiliers. Died of wounds 22nd August 1918. Born Breadsall, enlsited Derby. Formerly 51437, Sherwood Foresters (Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment). Buried in BAGNEUX BRITISH CEMETERY, GEZAINCOURT, Somme, France. Plot Iv. Row D. Grave 33.
McAUSLAND	A W R	Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment probably Robert Hamilton Russell McAusland, Private 71028, 9th Battalion, Sherwood Foresters (Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment). Killed in action 9th June 1917. Aged 21. Born and enlisted Derby. Son of Robert and Ellen J. McAusland, of River Bank, Darley Abbey, Derby. Buried in LA BELLE ALLIANCE CEMETERY, Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Row C. Grave 1. [There are only two McAusland's who died and the other was in the Royal Artillery].
MOORE	Archibald	Private 266516, 6th Battalion, Seaforth Highlanders (Ross-shire Buffs, the Duke of Albany's). Killed in action 9th April 1917. Born Breadsall, enlisted Ripon, Yorkshire. Son of Mr. A. Moore, of Brookside, Breadsall, Derby. Buried in HIGHLAND CEMETERY, ROCLINCOURT, Pas de Calais, France. Plot II. Row V. Grave 56.
ORME	Albert	Able Seaman 213951, H.M.S. "Invincible", Royal Navy. Lost with the Battlecruiser at The Battle of Jutland 31st May 1916. Aged 31. Son of the late George and Abigail Gertrude Orme. Native of Derby. No known grave. Commemorated on PORTSMOUTH NAVAL MEMORIAL, Hamsphire. Panel 13.
PERRY	J	Lieutenant, Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment probably John PERRY, Second Lieutenant, 3rd Battalion attached 2nd Battalion, Alexandra, Princess of Wales's Own (Yorkshire Regiment), Killed in action 23rd July 1916. No known grave. Commemorated on THIEPVAL MEMORIAL, Somme, France. Pier and Face 3 A and 3 D.
SHIRLEY	Arthur	Lance Corporal 3562, 1st/5th Battalion, Sherwood Foresters (Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment). Killed in action 16th August 1915. Enlisted Derby, resident Breadsall. No known grave. Commemorated on YPRES (MENIN GATE) MEMORIAL, Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Panel 39 and 41.
SMEATON	T	Corporal, Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment probably Thomas William SMEETON, Lance Corporal 11018, "D" Company, 11th Battalion, Sherwood Foresters (Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment). Killed in action 1st July 1916. Aged 27. Born and residejnt Derby, enlisted Nottingham. Son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Smeeton, of 48, Wolfa St., Derby. Buried in SERRE ROAD CEMETERY No. 2, Somme, France. Plot IV. Row C. Grave 9.
