The
memorial is to the railwaymen of the Robert Stephenson Works in Darlington
who served and died in the Great War. The memorial is in the form of
an iron tablet and can now be found in Darlington Railway Museum. It
details the surname, initials, rank and service unit for each man. The
memorial was erected by Robert Stephenson and Co. Ltd.
