The Fownhope War Memorial for World War 1 takes the form of a restored
churchyard cross with a dedicatory, semi-circular, headed, white marble,
tablet with darker marble frame to be found inside inside the church;
the inscription is in black lettering; there are 12 names listed. The
World War 2 memorial takes the form of a circular stone tablet with
the inscription in black lettering with a laurel wreath border with
ribbon at the base; there are 5 names listed.
The
churchyard cross was restored to
the
Glory of God and in
grateful memory of the men of
this parish who gave their lives in the
Great War.
