Private 2468, 1st/1st Battalion, Herefordshire Regiment. Died 21st November 1915 probably from wounds received at Gallipoli. Born and resident Ledbury, enlisted Hereford. Buried in PIETA MILITARY CEMETERY, Malta. Plot D. Row VIII. Grave 1.

JONES

Albert George

Private 6900, 2nd Battalion, King's Own Shropshire Light Infantry. Killed in action 26th May 1915. Aged 17. Born York Hill, Hereford, enlisted Hereford, resident Pixley, nr. Ledbury, Herefordshire. Son of Mr. H. A. and Mrs. J. Jones, of Trumpet Cottage, Pixley, Ledbury, Herefordshire. No known grave. Commemorated on YPRES (MENIN GATE) MEMORIAL, Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Panel 47 and 49.
