memorial is to be found in the grounds of St Peter's church in West
Lilley, Hertfordshire and l takes the form of a shrine constructed of
local flint with a tablet and cross added to the top for World War 2.
There are 10 names listed for World War 1 and four for World War 2.

Note:
HMS Neptune was a Leander Class Light Cruiser, built by
Portsmouth Dockyard and launched 31 January 1933. On 19
December 1941 during an operation to intercept Axis supply
routes to North Africa, she hit an Italian Minefield and
detonated four mines, sinking with all but one of her crew.
