GAUSSEN David Newbold

[Memorial appears to be CAUSSEN] Second Lieutenant, 9th Battalion attached 1st Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment. Wounded at Deuville Wood in the Battle of the Somme, died the next day 31st July 1916. age 23. Born 25th July 1893. Son of the Rev. Charles E. and Mary Gaussen, of Fairview Cottage, Lord's Well Lane, Crowborough, Sussex. Buried in DERNANCOURT COMMUNAL CEMETERY, Somme, France. Grave J. 40.
