Major
6th Battalion, Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry who was killed
in action on Thursday, 12th August 1915. Age 48. Son of the late
Edward Barnett, of Kenton Court, Sunbury-on-Thames; husband of
Elsie Kathleen Barnett, late of Covington, Kimbolton, Huntingdon.
Educated at Summerfield and Charterhouse. Late of the Indian Army;
awarded Burma Medal (1889-92), and China Medal (1900). Buried
in YPRES RESERVOIR CEMETERY, Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.

A. F. Heaton former Rector of Covington parish church. Commemorated

Higham Ferrars. No known grave. Commemorated on TYNE COT MEMORIAL,
West-Vlaanderen, Beklgium. Panel 104 to 105. |
