The war memorial is in the form of a Memorial Plaque inside St Margaret’s Church. There are lists of men who served and those who died. A further brass plaque below the main memorial lists those from World War 2.

Gunner 1597533, 34th Battery, 12 (11th Battalion, London Regiment) Light Anti Aircraft Regiment, Royal Artillery (R.A). Died 13th May 1941 aged 29 years. Buried nearby in the Hothfield (St Margaret’s) Churchyard.

Leading Stoker C/KX103891, H.M.S “BULLEN”, Royal Navy (R.N). Died 6th December 1944.

Most of these local men somehow managed to survive the war; additionally other men have been added whose names have been taken from the Hothfield Roll of Honour published in the Kentish Express during 1915.
