SALTWOOD WAR MEMORIAL

The Saltwood war memorial disappointingly does not display any names of the local fallen. It is a plain stone cross on a three stepped plinth standing on a triangle of land at the centre of the village. A sword of sacrifice is carved in low releif on the front face of the cross. The church has further memorials inside which cover World War 1 and World War 2 plus a few individuals. These are on two plaques, one brass palque for World War 1 and one stone for World War 2.
