The memorial is located inside the parish church of St Margaret's, Braceby and takes the form of a slate backboard upon which is mounted a white, marble plaque containing the inscription in black lettering; the whole is surrounded by a stone frame. There are 2 names for World War 1 only, no World War 2. names.

Husband of Carrie Ellen Eliza Cheavins of Braceby, Lincs. Son of William and Selina Cheavins, brother of John Cheavins. Born Braceby, Lincs and enlisted Burton on Trent, Staffs. Commemorated GODEWAERSVELDE BRITISH CEMETERY. I.K.7.

Son of William and Selina Cheavins, brother of Frederick Cheavins. Born Braceby, enlisted Grantham and resident Lincoln, Lincs. Commemorated POZIERES MEMORIAL. Panel 27 and 28.
