The
memorial can be be found in Hammerton Gardens, South St, Horncastle.
Made of
black granite with a polished top and front it measures 660 x 470
x 580mm sitting on a base 910 x 1215mm, it is enclosed by four wooded
posts and chain the total area being 1120 x 1500mm. On the pathway
directly opposite the memorial is an oak bench about 1800mm long,
which has on the top and centre rails small brass tablets inscribed
with the names of Horncastle men who served in the conflict and
have since died.
