The village war memorial is to be found within the church of St Peters and takes the form of a metal plaque mounted on a wooden backboard, a cross with alurel wreath with ribbons is in relief on the top of the plaque. There are 2 names for World War 2 and none for World War 1.

Driver T/10679621. Royal Army Service Corps. Memorial states 1st Airborne Division, died over North-West Europe 18/19th September 1944, aged 21 years. CWGC has 253 (Airborne Div) Div, died 19th September 1944. Husband of Florence May Enderby of Woodlands, Doncaster, Yorks. Commemorated GROESBEEK MEMORIAL. Panel 9.

JOHNSON

Ernest Arthur

Leading Aircraftman 646198. Royal Air Force. Memorial states died at Moena, Celebes Island on 14th November 1944, aged 29 years (CWGC has 28 years). Son of Alfred James and Myra Beatrice Johnson of Markby, Lincs. Commemorated AMBON WAR CEMETERY. 33.D.6.
