The
village war memorial is to be found in the south-east corner of St John
the Baptists Churchyard, Northorpe. It takes the form of a square pillar
surmounted by a draped urn and laurel wreath with the inscription on
stone panels on thepillar. On the front face, above the dedication,
is a moulded rose. The whole stands on a stone base. There are seventeen
names for World War 1, twelve men who served and 5 who died; there are
two names for World War 2.
