In the 1901 census he was aged 11, son of William and Martha Dunham, born Saltfleet, Lincolnshire, resident Louth Road, South Somercotes, Louth, Lincolnshire; brother of Joseph (below). In the 1911 census he was married to Violet, they had a newborn daughetrr, Mildred, he was a shepherd on a farm, born Saltfleet, Louth, Lincolsnhire, resident Scupholme, South Somercotes, Lincolnshire. Buried in PHILOSOPHE BRITISH CEMETERY, MAZINGARBE, Pas de Calais, France. Plot I. Row Q. Grave 13.

Private 201929, 2/5th Battalion, Prince of Wales's Own (West Yorskhire Regiment). Died of wounds 2 December 1917. Born Somercoates (sic), Lincolnshire, enlisted Lincoln. In the 1901 census he was aged 4, son of William and Martha Dunham, born South Somecotes, resident Louth Road, South Somercotes, Louth, Lincolnshire; brother of Harold (above). Formerly 4330, Prince of Wales's Own (West Yorskhire Regiment). Buried in GREVILLERS BRITISH CEMETERY, Pas de Calais, France. Plot IX. Row B. Grave 8.

Birth registered in the April to June Quarter 1898 in Louth Registration District, Lincolnshire. In the 1911 census he was aged 13, son of Thomas and Edith Mary Sinderson, a farmer'sm son working at hom, born South Somercotes, resident Ings, South Somercotes, Lincolnshire. No known grave. Commemorated on ARRAS MEMORIAL, Pas de Calais, France. Bay 6.

[Listed as Arthur Burkitt SMITH on SDGW and census] Private G/52345 [CWGC incorrect with G/55345], 13th Battalion, Duke of Cambridge's Own (Middlesex Regiment). Killed in action 3 August 1917. Born circa 1894 Granthorpe, Lincs, enlisted Lincln, resident North Somercotes. Birth registered in the January to March Quarter 1894 in Louth Registration District, Lincolnshire. Farmer by trade. Married Ivy Alice Wright 2 December 1916 at North Somercotes. Transferred to 13th Battalion, Middlesex Regiment 12 July 1917, joined battalion 13 July 1917. His effects were despatched to Mrs. Ivy Alice Smith, of The Bunglaow, Marsh Lane, North Somercotes. His son Noman Arthur Smith, born 17 Deceber 1916, died 28 January 1917 in North Somercotes, aged 1 month, a premature birth, died of influenza. Enlisted 11 December 1916 in Grimsby, weight 189 lbs, chest 41 inches. Emabrked with Expeditionary Force France 20 June 1917. In the 1911 census he was aged 17, son of Tom and Rebecca Smith, born Grainthorpe. resident Skidbrooke with Saltfleet Haven, North Somercotes, Lincolnshire. No known grave. [Spelt WILLSON on CWGC & SDGW] Private 8471, 2nd Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Killed in action 1 December 1917. Aged 26. Born and resident Southsomecotes, enlisted Brigg, Lincs. Son of Henry and Elizabeth Willson, of South Somercotes, Louth, Lincs. In the 1901 census he was aged 9, son of Henry and Elizabeth Wilson, born South Somecotes, resident South Field Lane, South Somercotes, Louth, Lincolnshire. No known grave. Commemorated on TYNE COT MEMORIAL, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Panel 35 to 37 and 162 to 162A.
