The memorial is located in St Leodegar Parish Church, Wyberton. There is one individual memorial toa lone man who died in World War 1 and a plaque to 8 men who gave their lives in World War 2.

STANILAND

Meaburn

To the glory of God and in loving memory of Meaburn Staniland, Captain 2nd Lincolnshire Regiment, Town Clerk of Boston, killed in action near Hooge in Belgium 29th July 1915 aged 35 years and of Frances his wife who died on the 6th January 1916 the south west part of this church was restored.

Captain. 4th Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Died above date and age. Son of Robert William Staniland of Hussey House, Boston, Lincs. Husband of Frances Sophia Dickinson Staniland of Wyberton, Lincs. Brother Geoffrey Staniland also fell and both are buried within same churchyard. Commemorated Dranouter Churchyard. VI.15.

Pilot Officer 107980, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. 101 Squadron. Died 20th January 1942, aged 24 years. Son of Rev. Harold Eaton and Lillian Estella Curtis of Wyberton, Lincs. Commemorated Runnymede Memorial. Panel 69.

Sergeant (Wireless Operator/Air Gunner) 1451050, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. 44 Squadron. Died 2nd October 1943, aged 21 years. Son of Ernest and Grace Hopkinson of Wyberton, Lincs. Commemorated Durnbach War Cemetery. Coll Grave 9.E.3-5.

Private 4809966. 6th Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Died 10th March 1943, aged 37 years. Son of Alfred and Edith Lyon. Husband of Edith Mabel Lyon of Wyberton West, Lincs. Commemorated Tabarka Ras Rajel War Cemetery. 4.D.9.

Aircraftman 1st Class 1309569, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. 84 Squadron. Died 1st February 1943, aged 31 years. Son Mr and Mrs Edward Nix of Wyberton West, husband of Ethel May Nix of Wyberton West, Lincs. Commemorated Singapore Memorial. Column 428.

Private 14390000. 6th Battalion, South Staffordshire Regiment. Died 6th August 1944, aged 19 years. Son of John W and Rose Nixon of Boston, Lincs. Commemorated Bayeux War Cemetery. XIX.E.11.

Norriss on CWGC. Lance Corporal 4863756. 6th Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Died 12th December 1943, aged 21 years. Son of Herbert and Rose May Norriss of Boston, husband of Joyce Norriss of Boston, Lincs. Commemorated Caserta War Cemetery. III.D.16.
