The reverse contains a plaque denoting the various battalions that have formed part of the Royal Fusiliers. The memorial is in the care of the Corporation of The City of London on behalf of the Royal Fusiliers -The City of London Regiment. The memorial was made by Albert Toft, it was first unveiled by the Lord Mayor of London and dedicated by the Bishop of London on 4 November 1922.
