The
Marylebone
Cricket Club (MCC), Lord's Cricket Ground, St John's Wood Road,
St John's Wood, Greater London, hosts a series of war memorials. These
are listed here but there may be others. Thos known memorials are listed
individually here and where a transcription of names is available a
separate page has been allocated.
MCC
MEMBERS WORLD WAR 1 MEMORIAL
The
memorial is to be found on the top staircase of the Lord’s
pavilion and takes the form of a nowy-headed wooden board with gold
lettering that is accompanied by a framed print giving details of
membership, date elected, date of death and place of burial. The club
emblem can be found at the top of the board. There are 330 names listed.

The
memorial is to be found at the top of the staircase in the pavilion
and takes the form of a nowy-headed wooden board with gold lettering
that is accompanied by a framed print giving details of membership,
date elected, date of death and place of burial. The MCC badge appears
at the top, centre. There are 282 names listed. The memorial was unveiled
by Field-Marshall Lord Bramall 9th August 2005.

On
the Lord's Pavilion west side, back, is a memorial seat in the south
wall with a bronze plaque above.

MMC Memorial Museum is situated behind the Lord's Pavailion. Two
plaues commeorate the opening of the museum building.

The
show case used to display the Ashes in the Lord's Circket Museum has
a dedication to two men who fell in the Second World War.

Standing
outside the Lord's Cricket ground are ornate iron gates attached to
stone pillars which are a memorial to W G Grace.

Inside
the Lord's Pavilion, on the first alnding of the staircase is a bronze
plaque with the emblem of the Free Foresters within a wreath at the
top.

MIDDLESEX COUNTY CRICKET CLUB World War 1
Once
again on the first landing of the staircase within the Pavilion is
a wooden board with the Middlesex Cricket Club crest at the top containing
a roll of honour of those men who fell during World War 1 from the
club.
