Ickburgh
is a small village about 6miles N.E. of Brandon. The memorial is to
be found in Ashburton Road, Ickburgh and takes the form of a seated
grieving woman with a shawl over her head and shoulders, holding a wreath,
leaning against a rock with a four-stepped base atop a large, square
pedestal, on a single stepped base. The inscription is to be found on
the front of the memorial and the names on the sides of the plinth.
There are 12 names for World War 1.
