Thorpe Market is a village south east of Cromer. There are three memorials in the church. One Memorial is of marble and gives Regiment and Date of Death.

ALLEN	Robert	Probably: Robert James Allen. Private 16281. 9th Battalion,, Norfolk Regiment. Killed in action Monday 22 October 1917. Born Ormsby, Norfolk. Enlisted Norwich. Commemorated: ARRAS MEMORIAL, Pas de Calais, France. Bay 3. There is also an R.R. Allen buried in the churchyard (see below) who is not on the memorial.
ATTEW	Sidney John	Private 13820. 8th Battalion Norfolk Regiment. Killed in action Monday 7 May 1917. Age 26. Born Northrepps. Enlisted Norwich. Son of Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Attew, of Thorpe Market, Norwich. Commemorated: ARRAS MEMORIAL, Pas de Calais, France. Bay 3.
BURDETT	Cecil Henry	(Not on this memorial but mentioned on the memorial to the Norfolks, below). Private 23421. 8th Battalion Norfolk Regiment. Died of wounds in France & Flanders on 23rd July 1916. Aged 21. Born on 21st June 1895 in Colby. Enlisted Cromer. Son of Mary Anna Bates, of Colby, Norfolk. Buried: La Neuville British Cemetery, Corbie, Somme, France. Ref. I. D. 34.
COOK	Peter Arthur	Private 18522. 2nd Battalion Norfolk Regiment attd. 6th Battalion Royal Dublin Fusiliers. Died of wounds Monday 17 January 1916. Born on 16th December 1890 in Billingford, Norfolk. Enlisted Norwich. Son of Mrs. Sarah Ann Cook, of Thorpe Market, Norwich. Buried: PLOVDIV CENTRAL CEMETERY, Bulgaria. Ref. H. 4.
COOK	Walter Richard	Lance Corporal 18462. 9th Battalion Norfolk Regiment. Died of wounds Wednesday 3 October 1917. Born Billingford, Norfolk. Enlisted Norwich. Buried: NOEUX-LES-MINES COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION, Pas de Calais, France. Ref. I. C. 8.
COOK	Frederick	Private 18738. 1st Battalion Royal Warwickshire Regiment. Formerly 24050 Somerset Light Infantry. Died Sunday 15 October 1916. Age 23. Born Billingford. Enlisted Aldershot. Son of Mrs. S. A. Cook, of Thorpe Market, Norwich. Buried: ALLONVILLE COMMUNAL CEMETERY, Somme, France. Ref. A. 20.
GIBBONS MM	Timothy	Serjeant 13360. 8th Battalion Norfolk Regiment. Killed in action Wednesday 19 July 1916. Age 32. Born on 4th May 1884 in Thorpe Market. Enlisted Norwich. Son of Mrs. Elizabeth Gibbons, of Hoveton St. Peter, Wroxham, Norwich. Commemorated: THIEPVAL MEMORIAL, Somme, France. Pier and Face 1 C and 1 D.
HURN	Robert William	Private 13552. 8th Battalion Norfolk Regiment. Killed in action Saturday 1 July 1916. Age 21. Born on 18th November 1894 in Thorpe Market. Enlisted Norwich. Son of Mr. and Mrs. John William Hurn, of Thorpe Market, Norwich. Commemorated: THIEPVAL MEMORIAL, Somme, France. Pier and Face 1 C and 1 D.
KEELER	Herbert Cornelius	Serjeant 5656. 1st Battalion Norfolk Regiment. Killed in action Tuesday 9 October 1917. Age 36. Born Aylsham. Enlisted Norwich. Husband of Mrs. J. Reynolds (formerly Keeler), of Alby Common, Hanworth, Norwich, Norfolk. Served in the South African Campaign. (Boer War). Commemorated: TYNE COT MEMORIAL, Zonnebeke, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Panel 34 to 35 and 162A.
MAYES	Thomas P	Corporal 3/10053. 3rd Battalion Norfolk Regiment transf. to (178041) 331st Company, Labour Corps. Died Monday 11 November 1918. Age 49. Born and lived Thorpe Market. Enlisted Norwich. Son of Charles and Mary Mayes, of Thorpe Market; husband of Annie Mayes, of Thorpe Market. Buried: THORPE MARKET (ST. MARGARET) CHURCHYARD, Norfolk, United Kingdom.
NICHOLLS	Robert	Private 18687. Norfolk Regiment, Depot. Born on 6th October 1880 in Southrepps. Died 8 May 1915 at home. Enlisted Norwich. (Not on CWGC)
TURNER	William Robert	Private 13713. 9th Battalion Norfolk Regiment. Died Friday 15 September 1916. Age 26. Born Thorpe Market. Enlisted Norwich. Son of George and Martha M. Turner, of Thorpe Market, Norwich. Commemorated: THIEPVAL MEMORIAL, Somme, France. Pier and Face 1 C and 1 D

There is a marble Memorial commemorating men from the Norfolk Regiment who died in the Great War. Strangely this memorial does not mention all the men from the Norfolk Regiment on the memorial above, but includes one extra man. This Memorial gives the men’s date of birth and further details. (Incorporated in the details above)

in the Coldstream remember his fine example”

BEAUCHAMP	Edward Archibald	Second Lieutenant. 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards. Died of wounds near Givenchy on 22nd December 1914. Aged 23. Son of Edward and Betty Campbell Beauchamp, of 26, Grosvenor Place, Hyde Park Corner, London. Buried: Lillers Communal Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France. Ref. I. B. 4.

ALLEN	Reginald Robert	Private 6077546. 1st Battalion The Queen's (Royal West Surrey Regiment). Died on 24th December 1920. Aged 19. Son of Mrs. Charlotte Lawrence, of 3, Burrell's Yard, St. George St., Norwich. Buried: Thorpe Market (St. Margaret) Churchyard. In North-West part.
SEXTON	Frederick George	Driver T/188430. Royal Army Service Corps. Died on 20th June 1941. Aged 21. Son of George and Harriet Sexton; husband of Violet Marion Sexton, of Gunton. Buried: Thorpe Market (St. Margaret) Churchyard.
