The war memorial for West Bilney is within St. Cecilia's Church. It takes the form of an oak tablet on the north wall in memory of the five men of the parish who fell in the Great War 1914-1918 which cost, circa £30, raised by subscription from the parishioners; the unveiling ceremony was performed by Rev. H.S. Radcliffe, M.A. on 20 June 1920.

Lance Corporal 22086, 2nd Battalion, Grenadier Guards. Killed in action 27 August 1918. Aged 20. Born Windsor, Berkshire, enlisted Lambeth, London. Son of William and Margaret Back, of High St., Harrold, Shambrook, Beds. In the 1911 census he is aged 12, born Windsor, resident with his parents, William and Margaret, at 189 Mayall Road, Henn Hill, Lambeth, London & Surrey. Buried at MORY ABBEY MILITARY CEMETERY, MORY, Pas de Calais, France. Plot V. Row C. Grave 22.

Lance Corporal 761213, 1/28th (County of London) Battalion (Artists Rifles), London Regiment. Killed in action 31 October 1917 at 2 p.m., CWGC states 30 October. Enlisted London, resident King's Lynn. Son of Samuel John and Sarah Maria Bell, of The Beeches, Wet Bilney, Norfolk. Husband of Marjorie Hollick Bell (nee Nash), married 25 March 1916 at St. Peter's, Kensington, London W.; he was a Cadet; she was resident 123 Lansdown Road, Notting Hill, london W.11. Next of kin given as Mrs. S. F. Bell, of Westcroft, Oxenden Street, Herne Bay, Kent. Passed fit 1 December 1915, attested 3 December 1915, aged 31 years 7 months, resident West Bilney, King's Lynn, Norfolk, appointed Lance Corporal 18 October 1917. Height 5 feet 11 inches, chest 38 inches. Embarked Sothampton 21 April 1916, disembarked Rouen, France 22 April 1916, joined battalion in the field 27 April 1916, admitted to Military Hospital with influenza 9 February 1917, discharged 19 February 1917. From 1911 to 1915 he is listed in the Electoral Register of West Bilney as being a lodger of S.J. Bell, of Dodd's Farm, West Bilney. No known grave. Commemorated on TYNE COT MEMORIAL, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Panel 153.

Private G/18014, 6th Battalion, Queen's Own (Royal West Kent Regiment). Killed in action 17 July 1917. Aged 28. Born West Bilney, enlisted Noriwch, Norfolk. Son of William and Susannah Dix, of West Bilney, King's Lynn. Brother of George (below). Christened at West Bilney, 4 May 1890. Formerly 5954, Leicestershire Regiment. In the 1891 census he was aged 1, born Norfolk, resident with his parents, William and Susanna, in Brickyard Cottage, Lynn Road, West Bilney, Freebridge Lynn, Norfolk. In the 1901 census he was aged 10, born West Bilney, Norfolk, resident with his parents, William and Susanna, in Lynn Road, West Bilney, Freebridge Lynn, Norfolk. In the 1911 census he was aged 20, born West Bilney, Norfolk, resident with his parents, William and Susanna, in West Bilney, Freebridge Lynn, Norfolk. No known grave. Commemorated on ARRAS MEMORIAL, Pas de Calais, France. Bay 7.

In the 1901 census he was aged 2, born West Bilney, Norfolk, resident with his parents, William and Susanna, in Lynn Road, West Bilney, Freebridge Lynn, Norfolk. In the 1911 census he was aged 12, born West Bilney, Norfolk, resident with his parents, William and Susanna, in West Bilney, Freebridge Lynn, Norfolk. Buried in CAIRO WAR MEMORIAL CEMETERY, Egypt. Section F. Grave 225.

Private 45155, 11th Battalion, Suffolk Regiment. Killed in action 19 April 1918 [memorial states 9 April]. Born Terrington, Norfolk, enlisted King's Lynn. In the 1911 census he was aged 29, married to May Blanche Newman (nee Curson - married 1909), born Terrington, Norfolk, a Malstress Labourer, resident with his widowed father-in-law, James Curson, in Magpie Cottages, West Bilney, Norfolk. Buried in SUFFOLK CEMETERY, LA ROLANDERIE FARM, ERQUINGHEM-LYS, Nord, France. Plot II. Row A. Grave 6.
