The Achurch memorial is to be found at the junction of the main road to Lilford and Church Road and is in the form of a stone cross. There are 10 names for World War 1 and 3 names for World War 2, all listed by surname and forename. Some fo the lettering is worn.

Died of wounds at home 29-03-1923. No further details known. No Trace SDGW or CWGC.

Private, 202837, John Groom, 1st Bn. Norfolk Regiment. Killed in action 09-10-17, aged 21. Born Alconbury, enlisted Northampton. Son of George and E. H. Groom, Thorpe, Thrapston, Northants. Commemorated on Tyne Cot Memorial, Zonnebeke, Panels 34/35 and 162A.

Private, 15481, John Moreham Hill, 5th Bn. Northamptonshire Regiment. Killed in action 08-07-16. Born Wadenhoe, enlisted Oundle. Buried in Aveluy Communal Cemetery Extension, Grave F.62.

Private, 49685, 32nd Bn. Royal Fusiliers. Died of wounds 17-07-17, aged 33. Born Harton, Bucks, enlisted Thrapston, resident Lilford, Northants. Husband of Frances Annie Sayell, Achurch, near Barnwell, Peterborough. Buried in Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, Poperinghe, Grave XVI.F.20.

Born and resident Lilford, Northants, enlisted Huntingdon. Son of T. Stretton, Lilford, near Barnwell, Peterborough. Buried in Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, Poperinghe, Grave XXII.AA.29.

Corporal, 15458, 5th Bn. Northamptonshire Regiment. Killed in action 19-09-18, aged 28. Born Titchmarsh, enlisted Oundle. Son of John and Louisa Upchurch, Thorpe, Northamptonshire. Buried in Epehy Wood Farm Cemetery, Epehy, Grave II.G.19.

Private, G/25140, William Thomas Upchurch, 8th Bn. The Queen's, Royal West Surrey Regiment. Killed in action 22-03-18. Born Wigsthorpe, near Barnwell, enlisted Kettering. Commemorated on Pozieres Memorial, Somme, Panels 14/15.

Believed to be: Private, 424498, Percy Arthur Warner, 28th Bn. Canadian Infantry (CEF). Killed in action Courcelette on the 15-09-16, aged 23. Born Melton Mowbray 29-11-1892, enlisted Minnedosa, Canada, 19-05-15, aged 22. (Only man of this killed in Great War). Commemorated on Vimy Memorial, Arras.

Leading Aircraftman, 1502282, James Albert Bonner, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. Killed in action 06-04-45, aged 23. Son of Albert Edward William Bonner and Lily Maud Bonner, Lilford, near Thrapston, Northants. Buried in Kirkee War Cemetery, Grave I.H.09.
