The memorial stands on the Main Street, Spital, Berwick Upon Tweed, Northumberland. It takes the form of an obelisk mounted on a pedestal atop a three-stepped based. The inscriptions are to be found on three-bronze plaques on the front face of the memorial. The memorial is set in a paved area within a small garden. The memprial was initially unveiled in July 1921 by Brigadier R.W. Riddell, O.B.E. There are 37 names listed for World War 1. In 2009 it was designated a Grade II Listed Building. Details appeared in the Alnwick and County Gazette 16 July 1921. The names here have been sorted into alphabetical order for ease of reading and research.
