Ipoh is the capital city of the state of Perak, lying 135 miles due north of Kuala Lumpur. Conolly Road, renamed Jalan Tun Perak (Tun Perak Road), is off Jalan Lahat. There is a Coca-Cola factory at the cross roads. The entrance to the cemetery faces Skola Dato Panglimar Kinta. There are two 1939-1945 Commonwealth war graves in the cemetery; one standard pattern headstone being situated close to the Caretaker's office at the rear of the cemetery, and the other, a private memorial, in the first row behind the front wall. Both graves are to the left of the entrance. There is also 1 non World War service burial here, now in the care of C.W.G.C. The Wesley Methodist chpael backs onto the cemetery although the railway line divides the two.

There is supposedly one further burial in St. Michael's churchyard, Ipoh, of a person named "Kirkpatrick". Although the cemetery has been searched this grave cannot be found.
