REPORTED MISSING
Mrs McCall, 9 Knowenoble Street, Cleland, has received notification
that her youngest son Flight-Sergeant Vallance McCall, R.A.F.,
is reported missing as a result of operations. He is 27 years
of age, unmarried, and has been fully three years in the service.
He received his training in this country and in South Africa
and has been in many operations as a navigator. Prior to enlistment
he was in Berwickshire Constabulary and was stationed at Duns.
He was a pupil of Dalziel High School and latterly of Wishaw
High School. It is hoped that better news may yet come to
hand.
