WHITENESS AND WEISDALE WAR MEMORIAL

The Whiteness & Weisdale war memorial is to be found beside the Whiteness to Weisdale Road, Shetland. THe memorial is in the form of a Celtic cross on a three stepped base mounted on a tall plinth which inturn is mounted on a tapered plinth with a three-stepped base; the whole is in a concrete surround with metal railings. There are 21 names listed for World War 1 and 14 for World War 2.
