wounds received in action 9 May 1918. Aged 24. Born and resident
Widcombe, Somerset, enlisted Bath. Son of Henry Thomas and Emily
Elizabeth Cottell, of Temperance Hall, Widcombe, Bath. In the 1911
census he was age 16, born Bath, Somerset, resident with his widowed
father, Henry Thomas Cottrell, at Temperance Hall, Claverton Street,
Bath, Somerset. In the 1901 census he was aged 6, born Bath, Somerset,
resident with his parents, Henry Thomas and Emily E Cottrell at
Temperance Hall, Claverton Street, Bath, Somerset. When he attested,
23 October 1915, at Southampton, he was employed as an Indoor Servant/Clerk,
aged 21 years 6 months, born Widicombe, Somerset, unmarried, height
5 feet 9 inches, chest size 37 inches, next of kin was his widowed
father Henry J Cottrell. Buried in PERNOIS BRITISH CEMETERY, HALLOY-LES-PERNOIS,
