BREWOOD ROMAN CATHOLIC WAR MEMORIAL

The war memorial is located inside St Mary's Roman Catholic Chruch, Brewood and takes the form of a window of three lancets with the figure of Christ on the cross in the central window with a figure of a priest below elevating sacrament. The left-hand window contains a figure of St Michael and three men in uniform below in prayer. The right-hand window contains a figure of St George with three men in uniform below in prayer. There is a nowy-headed brass plaque in a wooden frame with the inscription and names in elaborate, and coloured, lettering. There are 16 names for World War 1 and 2 for the South African (Boer) War.

Son of John and Caroline Bill, of Shop Lane, Brewood. Buried near South-East corner of the Church sin SS. MARY AND CHAD CHURCHYARD, BREWOOD, Staffordshire.
