WARSLOW WAR MEMORIAL

World War 1 & 2 - Roll of Honour with detailed information

Located in the churchyard of the Parish Church of St James, Warslow. It takes the form of an angled walled enclosure which is slightly elevated with a centre section of the wall formed as a plinth with two wing walls and a central wall and a two stepped base. The central wall contains deatil;s of the Second World War, the two wing walls contain details for World War 1. There are eleven names listed for World War 1 which are also listed on the World War 1 memorial window in the church; there are two names for World War 2. The mason who worked on the memorial was T Hulme of Buxton.
