OTLEY WAR MEMORIAL

The Otley war memorial can be found inside the parish church and takes the form of a brass plaque mounted in marble-red frame. It contains the names of 12 men who gave their lives during World War 1 and 3 in World War 2. Its final unveiling was 10th December 1947, the masons were Messrs. Gathorp and Sons. There were two memorials in Otley - at the Parish Church and Baptist Church – a new single village memorial was dedicated on 11th November 2006 at 11.00, in the village outside the Post Office. This memorial contains 36 names for World War 1 and 4 names for World War 2.
