The
Palyford war memorial can be found inside the parish church and takes
the form of a marble plaque and a stained glass window. Listed are the
names of 9 men who gave their lives during World War 1. The memorial
was unveiled 21st March 1920, the dedication was by Venerable J G R
Darling; funds were raised by public subscription to cover the £235
15s 0d costs of the memorial; the builders were Messrs James Powell
and Sons. Details were reported in the East Anglian Daily Times 22nd
March 1920.
