Baptised in Girgaum, Bombay, son of William Adiar and Clara Henrietta Ernestina Quayle. Educated Charterhouse, Queen's College, Oxford University and Queens University, Belfast. Buried in CALVAIRE CEMETERY, MONTBREHAIN, Aisne, France. Row D. Grave 14.
