The memorial is to be found on the memorial homes and Alms Houses beside the road in Fansham Lane, Felpham. It is formed by two cottages for use by deserving ex-servicemen or their dependants with a dedicatory tablet placed in the porch. There are forty names listed here in alphabetical order. BARRETT	Frank Alfred	Corporal 9793, 4th (Queen's Own) Hussars. Died on service 19 December 1914. Aged 19. Born St. James, Watford, resident Felpham, Bognor, Sussex, enlisted Chichester. BAXTER	William Charles	Private 11485, 1st Battalion, Scots Guards. Died of wounds 19 May 1915. Aged 20. Born Thurso, Caithness, resident Bognor, Sussex, enlisted London. Son of W. and C. A. BEER	Hugh Frank	[Listed as Frank Hugh BEER on memorial ] Private L/9064, 2nd Battalionm, Royal Sussex Regiment. Killed in action 17 August 1916. Born Felpham, Surrey [sic], enlisted Chichester. No known grave. Commemorated on THIEPVAL MEMORIAL, Somme, France. Pier and Face 7 C.
BEER	Gilbert	Private TF/200421, 4th Battalion, Royal Sussex Regiment. Killed in action in Egypt 26 March 1917. Born Felpham, Sussex, enlisted Horsham. No known grave. Commemorated on JERUSALEM MEMORIAL, Israel and Palestine (including Gaza). Panels 25 and 26.
BONIFACE	Charles Louis	Stoker 1st Class K/5397/(PO), H.M.S. Niger, Royal Navy. Died from amputtaion of both legs after compound fracture of both 11 November 1914. Aged 23. Born 6 June 1891 in Bognor, Sussex. Son of George and Elizabeth Boniface, of 1, Manor Cottages, Felpham, Bognor. Prior to enlistment he was a Barman. Enlisted 12 January 1910 for 2 years, heoght 5 feet 9¾ inches, chest 38 inches, dark brown ahir, brown eyes, dark complexion. Buried in DEAL CEMETERY, Kent. Grave reference 4. 1684.
BRIDGER	George William	Private G/4214, 9th Battalion, Royal Sussex Regiment. Killed in action 17 June 1916. Born East Grinstead, enlisted Chichester. Son of Mrs. E. BROOKE	Frank Washington	Private 9348, 2nd Regiment, South African Infantry. Killed in action in France at Butte de Warlencourt, Somme, 12 October 1916. Aged 37. CLEAR	Herbert William	Signalman J/31010, H.M.S. Narbrough, Royal Navy. Lost with his ship when the Royal Navy Admiralty M-class destroyer was wrecked off the coast of Orkney, Scotland, during a severe blizzard 12 January 1918. Born 7 March 1899 in Bognor, Sussex. Son of Elizabeth Clear, of Outerwhyke Cottages, Felpham, Bognor, Sussex. Prior to enlistment he was a Farm Servant. Enklisted 7 March 1917 for 12 years, height 5 feet 3¼ inches, chest 32 inches, light brown hair, brown eyes, fresh complexion. I(n the 1901 census he was aged 2, born Sussex, son of John and Elizabeth Clerar, resident Felpham, Westhampnett, Sussex. No known grave. Commemorated on PORTSMOUTH NAVAL MEMORIAL, Hampshire. EADE	William [John]	Private SD/1180, 7th Battalion, Royal Sussex Regiment. Killed in action 20 May 1918. Aged 38. Born Bognor, enlisted Chichester. FLEXMAN	Edwin Leslie	Sergeant 205341, 7th Battalion, Queen's Own (Royal West Kent Regiment) fiormerly 1289, West Kent Yeomanry. Killed in action 24 April 1918. Aged 28. Resident Ealing Common, Middlesex, enlisted Maidstone, Kent. Son of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Flexman, of Felpham, Sussex; husband of Mrs. Mary D. Flexman, of 4, Chisholm Road, Richmond, Surrey. FULLER	Harry	Ship's Corporal 1st Class 208912, H.M.S. Good Hope, Royal Navy. Lost with H.M.S. Good Hope when she was sunk off the Chilean Coast 1 November 1914. Born 23 December 1882 in Findon, Sussex. Husband of Esther Fuller, of "Spalton," 49, Lynton Grove, Copnor, Portsmouth, Hampshire. Prior to enlistment he was a Gardener. Originally enlisted 23 December 1900 for 12 years, re-enlisted 23 December 1912 to completion, heght 5 feet 9 inches, dark brown hair, grey eyes, fresh complexion. No known grave. POORE	John Verity	Clerk, H.M.S. Cressy, Royal Navy. Missing when H.M.S. Cressy was sunk in the North Sea by a German submarine torpedo 22 September 1914. Born 21 June 1897.
