remote little church lies just South of Coldwaltham and is devoid of
any memorials apart from a brass plate bearing the names of three men
from the 1914-18 War.

Killed in action during the Battle of Arras 13th April 1917. Aged
21. Son of Charles & Emily Searle of Dora Cottages, Greatham
near Storrington. Brother of John Searle. Born in Fernhurst and
enlisted in Horsham. Buried in Lievin Communal Cemetery Extension.
