Lodsworth is a small village between Midhurst and Petworth. The Lodsworth Parish Memorial is to be found within the Parish Church and takes the form of brass plates inside the church of St.Peters. plus memorial list of those who served . There is also a large brass plaque for Trooper Boughton who died in South Africa during the Boer War. The memorial for World War 1 listed 15 Men by rank and Regiment. There are also two burials in the Churchyard not included on the Memorial. For World War 2 there are 8 names with units plus three burials not included on the Memorial.

Private 438000, 46th Battalion, Canadian Infantry (The Saskatchewan Regiment). 4th Canadian Division. Killed in action near Arras 5th May 1917. Buried in Lievin Communal Cemetery Extension.

Son of Mr & Mrs Nicolls of Brickyard Cottage, Lodsworth Common. Husband of Mrs Beatrice Nicholls of Talbot Road, Southsea, Hampshire. Born in Lodsworth and enlisted in West Lavington. Left two children. Buried in Jeancourt Comunal Cemetery Extension.

Cooks Mate M/20827, HMS "Cullist", Admiralty Store Carrier. Lost with the ship when she was torpedoed by a U Boat in the Irish Sea 11th February 1918. Aged 21. Son of Joseph Franklin and Sarah Patten of Hurlands Cottage, Selham. Included on Selham Parish Church Memorial. Commemorated on The Portsmouth Naval Memorial,Southsea
