This memorial is situated on the main A38 at the bottom of the lane leading to the church at Severn Stoke, Worcestershire. Like many of the memorials it lists those who served as well as those who died. It only commemorates the Great War. The memorial is in the form of a stone pointed column with square base.

Private 20063, 1st Battalion, Royal Irish Regiment. Died at home 29th November 1918. Age 22. Born and resident Severn Stoke, enlisted Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. Son of Stephen and Minnie Louisa Bennett, of Severn Stoke. Formerly 2041, Leicestershire Yeomanry and 33107, King's Royal Rifle Corps. Buried in ST. DENYS CHURCHYARD, SEVERN STOKE, Worcestershire. Private 59314, 5th (Reserve) Battalion (Territorial), Royal Warwickshire Regiment. Died at home 19th October 1918. Age 18. Born Battersea, London, enlisted Worcester, resident Severn Stoke. Buried in FORT PITT MILITARY CEMETERY, Kent. Grave 1495.

Private 21377, 10th Battalion, Worcestershire Regiment. Killed in action 10th April 1918 in France & Flanders. Born Tenbury, Worcestershire, enlisted Worcester, resident Severn Stoke. Commemorated on TYNE COT MEMORIAL, Zonnebeke, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Panel 75 to 77.

CLIFFORD

William Ernest
Private 8323, 1st Battalion, Worcestershire Regiment. Killed in action 20 January 1915 in France. Born 1893, baptised 6 August 1893 in Worcester, son of William Ernest and Ellen Clifford (note: known as Nellie)(nee Lamb). Son of William Ernest and Nellie (nee Lamb) Clifford. In the 1901 census he was aged 8, resident with his mother, Ellen, and his brother, Percy, at Sunnyside Cottages, 2, Portland Street, Worcester. In the 1911 Census he was aged 18, born Park Street, Worcester, an Iron Moulder, resident with his parenst and brother, Percy (below), at Bridge House Mill Street, Worcester. No known grave. Commemorated on LE TOURET MEMORIAL, Pas de Calais, France. Panel 17 and 18.

CLIFFORD

Percy Edwin
Private 14398, 4th Battalion, Worcestershire Regiment. Killed in action 29 April 1915 at Gallipoli, Canakkale, Turkey. Born 1 August 1896 in Worcester, resident Worcester, enlisted Horncastle, Lincolnshire. Son of William Ernest and Nellie (nee Lamb) Clifford. Baptised 16 February 1898 in Worcester, son of illiam and Nellie Clifford. Admitted to St Peter's Boys School, Worcester in 1902. In the 1901 census he was aged 4, resident with his mother, Ellen, and his brother, Percy, at Sunnyside Cottages, 2, Portland Street, Worcester. In the 1911 Census he was aged 15, born Northand Street, Worcester, a Blacksmith Striker, resident with his parents and brother, William (above), at Bridge House Mill Street, Worcester. Buried in REDOUBT CEMETERY, HELLES, Turkey (including Gallipoli). Plot XII. Row D. Grave 19.
