The World War 1 and World War 2 memorials plus Korea commemoration are to be found inside St Mar's Church, Kirkgate, Thirsk. The First World War memorial takes the form of a Chimining Clock with an ornate dedicatory tablet. This was unveiled 28 May 1921. There are 67 names listed. To the left of the tablet is a further plaque listing those who died in the Second World War and Korea. There are 17 names for World War 2 and 2 names for Korea.

Further information is taken from the original order of service for the dedication and unveiling ceremony. This took place on 28 May 1921 at 2.45pm. The service consited of the dedication of a chiming clock and the uneviling of the memorial tablets to the memory of Captain F E Ferguson, M.C. and to the memory of the men who fell in the Great War. The tbalet to the memory of Captain Ferguson was unveiled by Major R. L. Bower, C.M.G., C.B.E. and the tablet to the men of Thirsk by Brigadier-General H. L. Alexander, C.B., C.M.G., D.S.O. The dedication of the Memorial Clock and Tablets was by Canon F. L. Perkins.

The names here have been sorted into alphabetical order rather than in the manner that they were listed in the order of service; this is for ease of reading. Those listed in the order of service are marked '*' and those on the memorial '†'.
