The
Talgarth war memorial is located in The Square with the River Enig to
the rear; on the side of Bronllys Road, a few tens of metres from The
Square in centre of Talgarth. The memorial site is stone paved and bordered
by a low wall. Fronting each side wall is a raised flower bed also made
of stone. In the centre is a rough hewn granite monolith fronted with
a stone step on which the bronze plaque is located. The plaque is bordered
with a floral design in relief. At the top of the plaque is a wreath
design with central crucifix in relief, below which is the inscription.
Set against the interior face of each side wall is a green-painted bench
with scrolled arm rests.
