WINSLOW WAR MEMORIAL

World War 1 & 2 - Roll of Honour with detailed information

The Winslow war memorial is to be found in the churchyard of St Lawrence's Church, High Street, Winslow and takes the form of a Gothic cross on an octagonal column and plinth resting on a three-stepped base. There are 50 names for World War 1, 13 for World War 2, 1 for the Malayan Emergency and 1 for the Falklands. The nmeorials was dedicated by the Lord Bishop of Buckingham and unveiled 7th November 1920. Monies were raised by public subscription. Details appeared in the North Bucks Times 9th November 1920 and the Buckinghasm Advertiser 13th November 1920.
