& Miners, Indian Army. Died from cholera 7 June 1919 in Kohat,
Bengal. Born 1896 in Denton, Lancashire (now Tameside, Greater Manchester).
Son of Daniel Adamson and Alice Maude Ryder of Oaklands, Godley,
Cheshire (now Hyde, Tameside, Greater Manchester). Buried 7 June
1919 in Grave 174, Khohat Cemetery, Khyber, Pakhtunkhwa (now in
Pakistan). Commemorated on DELHI MEMORIAL (INDIA GATE), India. Face

1915 in West-Vlaanderen/West Flanders, Belgium. Born and enlisted
Hyde, Cheshire. He had previously served with the Regiment in Abbassia,
Cairo, Egypt. Son of James Clegg Bickerdyke and Florence Holloway
of Fountain St., Godley, Cheshire (now Hyde, Tameside, Greater Manchester).
In the 1891 he was aged 2, born Hyde, Cheshire, son of James and
Florence Bickerdyke, resident Boston Street, Hyde, Stockport, Cheshire.
In the 1901 census he was aged 12, born Hyde, Cheshire, son of James
and Florence Bickerdyke, resident 60, Fountain Street, Godley (Cheshire),
Ashton under Lyne, Cheshire. In the 1911 census he was aged 22,
born Hyde, with the military overseas, Private, 1st Battalion, Welch
Regiment, billeted in Main Barracks, Abbassia, Cairo, Egypt. No
known grave. Commemorated on YPRES (MENIN GATE) MEMORIAL, West-Vlaanderen,

In the 1901 census he was aged 11, born Newton, son of Edward and
Sarah Figg, resident 26, High Street, Godley, Ashton under Lyne,
Cheshire. In the 1911 census he was aged 21, born Newton, Assisting
in Business, resident with his brother Albert at 6 High Street,
Godley Hyde, Godley, Cheshire. Originally attested 5 January 1909
at Stalybridge, aged 19 years 9 months, born Hyde, Cheshire, a Labourer,
as 3869, 3rd Dragoon Guards, height 5 feet 7½ inches, weight
134 lbs, chest 35 inches, fresh complexion, grey eyes, light hair,
religious denomination Church of England. Joined at Aldershot 8
January 1909, discharged
under para 390 (xiv) King's Regulations at his own request on
payment of a value 4 March 1911. Married Lena Scott in the January
to March Quarter 1914 in Stckport Registration District, Cheshire,
she subsequently re-married to John Andrew McGraw following Percy's
death. Buried at GRANDCOURT ROAD CEMETERY, GRANDCOURT, Somme, France.
