The Bewcastle memorial is in the form of an obelisk and stands at the main entrance to St Cuthbert's Parish Church, Bewcastle, Cumbria. There are 19 names for World War 1 and 3 for World War 2 with a further four graves in the churchyard with CWGC headstones but not on the memorial.

Lance Corporal 23094, 2nd Battalion, Grenadier Guards. Killed in action 31st July 1917. Aged 33. Born Bewcastle, enlisted Carlisle. Son of Mrs C Armstrong, of Riggfoot, Roadhead. Brother of John James Armstrong (below). Buried in New Irish Farm Cemetery, Ypres, Belgium. Plot XXXIII. Row D. Grave 11.

Son of Mrs C Armstrong, of Riggfoot, Roadhead. Brother of Christopher Armstrong (above). No known grave. Commemorated on Helles Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey. Panel 119 to 125 or 222 and 223.

Sergeant 1525699, 64 (The Queen's Own Royal Glasgow Yeomanry) Anti-Tank Regt, Royal Artillery. Killed in action in Italy 26th October 1943. Aged 27. Son of Frederick Moore Waugh and Sarah Waugh. Husband of Betty Ethel Waugh, of High Garrett, Essex. Buried in Sangro River War Cemetery, Italy.
